The Future is here

In order for us to keep up with current and future market demand we have implemented a welding robot on our production line. This robot will help us maintain our quick turn around time for filling and shipping orders. We would like to thank all of our customers for supporting our new backflow preventer!

Always Remember to Flush!

When backflow preventers are installed or maintained, debris in the water line can travel into the valve body and get caught between the sealing disk and check seat. This is a very common situation and is referred to as "fouling" the checks.

A fouled check will not pass inspection. Many times the check simply needs to be removed and cleaned. In some cases, the rubber or seat may need to be replaced due to larger debris causing damage.

The best way to prevent the check valves from fouling is to make sure water lines are flushed properly before installation or before opening the upstream shut off valve after repair.

The Deringer dual action and true poppet check valves are designed to drastically reduce the chances of fouling. Our maintenance videos cover how to clean a fouled check without having to replace any components.

RPDA Vs RPDA-II

The type-II bypass assembly is a new technology to the backflow industry. As more manufacturers begin to utilize this technology it is only a matter of time before it’s widely used and is more commonly seen than the old type-I bypass assembly.

We created this video to provide a clear explanation on how the RPDA-II bypass provides the EXACT same level of protection as the old RPDA bypass as well as some of the similarities and differences between the two. Backflow Direct utilizes a type-II bypass on the Deringer 50 RPDA-II.
