Mori-Seiki SH-400 Dual Pallet CNC Horizontal Machining Center Acquisition

The Mori-Seiki SH-400 Dual Pallet CNC Horizontal Machining Center has been installed and is currently being tooled for the drilling and tapping operations for the 2 1/2"-4" stainless steel valve housings as well as the boring operations for the 2 1/2"-4" stainless steel inlet and outlet shut-off valve housings.  When complete each pallet cycle of the machine will produce all of the components necessary for one valve body weldment. It seems like every week we eliminate the need for a prototype process.

Relief Valve Testing Stand

The relief valve test stand has been completed and yes...that is a modified stainless steel kitchen sink. This simple test stand allows us to fully test a relief valve in less than 2 minutes.

Femco HL-25 Durga Dual Turret CNC Turning Center Acquisition

This "new to us" Femco HL-25 Durga Dual Turret CNC Turning Center was specifically purchased because of its capability of holding 23 turning tools. The dual turret allows us to machine all of the operations of the stainless steel Relief Valve Body in a single cycle.

Quality Control

We received first article samples of the stainless steel investment castings for the 6"- 8" Deringer 20/30/40/50 housings. The components were very close to passing quality control on the first pass. A few changes to the mold, another pour and they should be good to go.

Puma 350 CNC Turning Center Acquisition

We just finished installing and tooling the "new to us" Puma 350 CNC turning center. This turning center has a 15" diameter chuck. The jaws and travel of this machine are big enough to to turn every Deringer cast stainless valve body we have designed (2 1/2", 3",4",6" & 8").

This "new to us" Femco HL-25 Single Turret CNC Turning Center was recently installed and tooled for the production of all sizes (2 1/2"-8") of inlet and outlet stainless steel shut-off valve housings.
